Welcome to the University of Northern Colorado (UNC), located in an agricultural hub on a sprawling 260-acre campus in Greeley, Colorado. The university's commitment to environmental stewardship is evident in its beautiful campus, which includes nearly 3,400 trees and is a certified arboretum.  As a teaching institution, you will find approachable faculty who are engaged in hands-on learning that emphasizes community engagement and inclusivity. UNC has held the Carnegie Foundation's Classification for Community Engagement since 2015—a classification that reflects how many opportunities students have to apply what they learn in the classroom in the community. We offer a Master of Public Health in Community Health Education, with the option to add an emphasis in global public health, a Certificate in Public Health Sciences, and a Certificate in Rural Public Health on this campus in Greeley, Colorado.

Learn at your own pace

At our UNC location, we offer evening classes with the option to join online or in-person. Thanks to this flexibility, the majority of our students on this campus work full-time or part-time while pursuing their degree. All ColoradoSPH at UNC students have the opportunity to take classes at the CU Anschutz Campus or the Colorado State University campus.

Small, tight-knit community

UNC has one of the lowest faculty to student ratios in the state of Colorado, allowing for student-faculty relationships through mentoring, advising, and networking. Our student council hosts social events every month, creates public health campaigns and provides volunteer opportunities. The University of Northern Colorado is located in the city of Greely where you can enjoy Division 1 NCAA athletics, a walkable downtown, a thriving performance arts scene, and a variety of cultural events. The annual Greely Stampede, Colorado's premier western celebration, attracts over 250,000 visitors every summer.
