Certificate in Applied Biostatistics

​​​This certificate, offered at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, provides graduate training in applied biostatistics for health care professionals and others interested in expanding their analytic knowledge and skills. Identifier Certificate in Applied Biostatistics
CERT-ABIO 1 Fit and interpret models for continuous outcome data (normal linear model), categorical outcome data (logistic regression), and time-to-event data (Cox regression)
CERT-ABIO 2
Apply concepts of multiple regression, including confounding, statistical interactions, model selection, model fit, and regression diagnostics, in fitting and evaluating statistical models.
CERT-ABIO 3
Use computer software for data management (data entry, access, and data manipulations), as well as for summarizing and analyzing and displaying research results.

 

Total credits: 15

MPH students also completing a concurrent specialty certificate will need to meet the requirements of both the MPH and the certificate with only nine overlapping credits and have a minimum of 48 total credits to graduate with both.
