Welcome to the Preventive Medicine Residency Program! We are pleased that you are interested in our program offered by the Colorado School of Public Health at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
We offer a comprehensive two-year training program that prepares physicians with the skills they need to practice high-quality public health and preventive medicine in order to respond to the pressing health issues facing Colorado, the United States and the world. We are located in beautiful, mountainous Colorado and our position in its cosmopolitan capital presents our residents with numerous opportunities for practicum rotations.
Our residents earn their MPH degree from the Colorado School of Public Health, which utilizes advanced resources and knowledge to train its students in the latest technology and science critical to understanding the factors impacting the public’s
health and methods to prevent and mitigate the impact of disease and injury.
Since our program was first accredited in 1986, we have graduated more than 80 Preventive Medicine specialists who hold leadership positions in diverse national, state and local public health agencies, academic institutions, clinic settings, the military
and non-profit organizations.
