Culture of Excellence: Belonging Begins with Us!

We seek to establish a community where excellence is embraced by all: leadership, faculty, staff, and students. Excellence is progress in motion, a continuous journey of learning and growth. It requires being open to alternative ways of thinking and knowing, as well as being supportive and accountable. We achieve excellence collectively, grounded in the strength of our core values: collaboration, health for all, trust, belonging, a spirit of possibility, and action and impact.

Leadership: establishes a clear vision and provides all employees with the opportunity to strive for excellence. Leaders are responsive to the collective needs of the community and support those around them to achieve better organizational outcomes.

Faculty: are positioned to pursue innovative research and public health practice as well as instructional excellence and mentorship.

Staff: are supported to facilitate operations and administrative functions that uphold quality standards efficiently.

Students: are supported to achieve academic and professional success; enhance critical thinking skills; and contribute to innovation, problem-solving, and promoting public health for all.
