What degree are you seeking?
PhD in Biostatistics
Why did you choose to enroll in this program?
I think the sense of community is one of the major reasons for me to choose this program, which is a benefit of the small program size.
My coding ability definitely improved a lot during my work in CIDA. I think the ability to produce reproducible codes and reports is important in industrial work.
What is one things prospective students should know before enrolling?
I think it is important for the students from the east coast to know that Aurora is spacious, and people here are nice. Please be prepared for somewhat, overwhelming
kindness.
Tell me about the support you receive from your instructors?
My instructors have been very responsive even during remote learning and work from home. I can almost always get my questions answered within 24 hours.

Why did you choose to enroll in this program?
I chose this program because of the friendly atmosphere within the department, School of Public Health, and in Colorado. I wanted a program where I felt supported by the faculty and camaraderie my with fellow students, both of which I have found at CU.
Through my core biostatistics courses, I have learned the how and why of statistics. Through my consulting courses and RA position with CIDA, I have learned how to effectively communicate statistical ideas to clinicians and researchers.
