MS Applicants

You must have received a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Additionally, you must submit official copies of your transcripts from every institution you have attended with your application.   

Applicants should plan on having all transcripts from any non-US colleges or universities they have attended evaluated by World Education Services.

You must have obtained a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale. If your GPA is below 3.00, you should include an explanation of why it fell below the minimum score and how you plan to address any prior academic deficiencies. Students admitted to the MS program with an undergraduate GPA below 3.00 will be admitted on a provisional basis.​​

Please submit official copies of your GRE scores with your SOPHAS application using the code above.

Your statement of purpose and objectives should be two pages in length, single-spaced, and should address your career goals and purpose for applying to the program. Please make sure to include any past work/internship/volunteer experience and a description of how this program will serve your future goals.​

Please submit a recent copy of your resume or curriculum vitae (CV).​

Three letters of recommendation are required.

In addition to the admissions criteria listed above, you must also complete the following prerequisite coursework: 

• Three semesters of calculus (differential, integral, multivariable) 
• One semester of linear algebra​ 
• One previous statistics course 
• Coding experience or experience with some statistical software (R, SAS, etc.) 

The GRE is optional for this program. However, the GRE is strongly recommended for students who have not, by the December 1 application deadline, completed and had grades assigned in all prerequisite math courses (differential, integral and multivariable calculus and linear algebra).

In addition to the admissions criteria listed above, you must also complete the following prerequisite coursework: 

• One semester of calculus with a grade of B or higher
• Prior coursework in biological sciences 
• All prerequisite coursework must be completed at or above the undergraduate level

A previous statistics or biostatistics course with a grade of B or higher and prior exposure to statistical software are highly recommended

The GRE is not required for applicants to the MS program in Epidemiology.
