Admissions requirements

Certificates and the MPH program

Students may complete certificates prior to or concurrently with the Master of Public Health. If a certificate student intends to pursue the MPH after successful completion of the certificate program, the student will need to formally apply to the MPH program and complete all of the admission requirements of the MPH program. Students who complete a ColoradoSPH certificate program are not guaranteed admission to the MPH program.

A maximum of 21 credits taken in the certificate may be transferred into the MPH program. Of these 21, no more than 9 credits may be from coursework taken as a non-degree student. Students interested in seeking an MPH concurrently or following a specialty certificate (i.e. any certificate except Public Health Sciences), can apply no more than 9 credits to both programs.
