Application deadline: May 1
Application requirements
All applicants must be current Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SSPPS) PharmD students scheduled to successfully complete the second professional (P2) year of the PharmD curriculum. At the time of matriculation to the MPH program,
the student must:

- have a cumulative GPA (including required and elective coursework) of at least 3.0 in the courses of the pharmacy program at end of first professional (P1) year,

Applicants will be required to meet with the SSPPS Office of Student Services staff to ensure that there are no issues related to their financial aid or PharmD program completion that would prevent him/her from being accepted into this dual degree program.
The time at which a student in the pharmacy program applies to the MPH program will influence (i) the specific GPA requirement, (ii) when the student will take MPH coursework, and (iii) whether a leave of absence from the SSPPS will be required.
Coursework
A student in the PharmD/MPH Dual Degree program would begin MPH coursework in summer of the year of acceptance. This dual degree will:
use public health-oriented coursework and practice experiences from pharmacy curriculum (9 credits) to count toward the 42 minimum credit hour MPH degree, and require a minimum of 5 years coursework to complete both degrees (for P2 applicants).
