She has examined new biomarkers and genetic variation associated with rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. In addition, Dr. Young’s work examines the cardiometabolic conditions within these groups, specifically fatty liver disease and measures of adiposity.
