In her role as health promotion facilitator at The Rocky Mountain Prevention Research Center – School Wellness Program, Mikayla Valentine provides nutrition education, physical activity, and overall health and wellness in elementary and preschools. Previously Mikayla worked at the Tri-County Health Department, where she served as the youth engagement specialist for the community health promotion division. During her time at Tri-County Health Department, Mikayla was responsible for supervising a youth coalition and worked to promote mental health and reduce substance abuse in the community.
