Dr. Torok received a Master of Public Health in Hospital and Molecular Epidemiology from the University of Michigan and a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has worked in foodborne disease epidemiology at the North Carolina Center for Public Health Preparedness and the National Centre for Biosecurity and Infectious Diseases in New Zealand. Her main research interest is infectious disease epidemiology, including foodborne/enteric disease epidemiology and outbreak investigation.
