State of the State with Dr. Rachel Herlihy, State Epidemiologist, Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment
Sep 14, 2020On September 14, Dr. Rachel Herlihy joined the Colorado School of Public Health and its Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine Residency Program to deliver the annual "State of the State" update from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
Dr. Herlihy is a preventive medicine physician and the State Epidemiologist. She has been with the CDPHE since 2011. Her position resides in the Department’s Division of Disease Control and Public Health Response where she oversees the Division’s Communicable Disease Branch and serves as the Principal Investigator on CDC-funded Emerging Infections Program and Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity grants. Dr. Herlihy is currently leading COVID-19 surveillance, case investigation, and outbreak response activities for Colorado.
