Dr. Vogt received his MD degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and trained in family practice. He then enrolled in the Epidemiologic Intelligence Service assigned to Vermont and became the state epidemiologist at the Vermont Department of Health and the Hawaii Department of Health. Later, he joined the Polio Eradication Program and served for two years in Cairo, Egypt. After his time in Egypt, he came home to Colorado and became the Executive Director of the Tri-County Health Department where he served Adams, Arapahoe, and Douglas Counties. Currently, he is a senior advisor for the CDC Foundation COVID-19 Task Force and participates in a variety of activities with the Colorado School of Public Health.
