Rocío Vélez Pesante serves as the Education Program Coordinator for the Department of Biostatistics & Informatics at the Colorado School of Public Health, where she manages graduate education program operations and develops and leads strategies supporting the student lifecycle, student engagement, and program visibility. She works closely with departmental leadership and program directors to improve operational processes and advance initiatives aligned with departmental educational priorities.

With over 13 years of experience in higher education, she brings a strong background in program coordination, operational management, and fostering student success.

Currently pursuing an MBA with a specialization in Business Strategy at the University of Colorado Denver. Her academic and professional interests center on leadership development, organizational strategy, and the role of belonging in student engagement and the educational experience.
