Dr. Pastula is a board-certified neurologist, CDC-trained medical epidemiologist (EIS), and U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS) veteran, as well as a dedicated teacher and leader. His work spans neurohospitalist medicine, neuro-infectious and emerging infectious diseases, epidemiology and public health, health security and emergency preparedness, environmental sustainability and meteorology, public policy, and education. He brings leadership experience across university, state, and federal government levels, with proven strengths in strategy, advocacy, policy, and communications. Dr. Pastula strives to be a practical, cross-disciplinary, and forward-thinking problem solver.
