Lisa Miller, MD, MSPH is a professor of epidemiology and the Associate Dean for Public Health Practice at the Colorado School of Public Health. Prior to coming to the university in May 2017, she was chief of the Communicable Disease Branch and the state epidemiologist at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. In this role, she oversaw communicable disease surveillance and control activities for the state. She has over 22 years of experience implementing and overseeing public health programs, and has been principal investigator on multiple Centers for Disease Control and Prevention grants/cooperative agreements in the areas of birth defects surveillance, autism surveillance and research, muscular dystrophy surveillance and research, occupational health surveillance, environmental health surveillance, and infectious disease surveillance and research.
