Lucas Medsker is a Professional Research Assistant with the Centers for Health, Work & Environment (CHWE) and the Community Epidemiology & Program Evaluation Group (CEPEG) at the Colorado School of Public Health. He supports statewide survey research and program evaluation projects, including the Colorado Tobacco Attitudes and Behaviors Survey (TABS) and Colorado Healthy Equity Survey (CHES). Working closely with Dr. Katherine James and Francesca Macaluso, Lucas assists in data management, constructs variable documentation, quality assurance (QA), and analytic dataset development for multi-year tobacco surveillance efforts.

 

Before joining CEPEG, Lucas worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and as a Senior Clinical Sciences Professional at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, coordinating national studies in physical activity and metabolic health. His expertise includes SAS and R data management, survey design, statistical analysis, and program evaluation. Lucas is completing his Master of Public Health in Epidemiology at CU Anschutz, where his research focuses on environmental and chronic disease epidemiology.
