Yvonne Kellar-Guenther, Ph.D. is a program evaluator and educator for the Colorado School of Public Health at the University of Colorado. She has been conducting research for about 25 years and has been doing evaluation for about 15 years. Her evaluation projects have ranged from the community level to a national scope. Yvonne believes in the power of evaluation to strengthen programs and capture their impact. She also emphasizes the importance conducting evaluations and sharing the findings in a way the increases the odds the results are utilized by the organization and/or the community. She trained in mixed methods (qualitative and quantitative). As an evaluator, she has looked at many topics. Most recently, her work has focused on newborn screening; patient navigation and community health work; and cancer survivorship. In addition to conducting evaluation, Yvonne teaches Research and Evaluation Methods and the Evaluation Field Study course for the department of Community and Behavioral Health.
