Dr. Delgado-Zapata received his medical degree at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru. In 2017, he completed the Master of Public Health in Maternal and Child Health program at the Colorado School of Public Health as a Global Health Fellow. During his undergraduate years, he was part of health interventions in rural and suburban communities along the highlands of Peru. He also participated in the rapid needs assessments in the region of Iquitos, Peru, with the Center for Global Health. Currently, he is focused on implementing a sexual and reproductive health program for adolescents from rural high schools and conducting research on childhood malnutrition prevention and treatment in southwestern Guatemala. Dr. Delgado Zapata is also interested in adolescent health, child growth and development, taking particular interest in community-based education strategies for sustainable programs.
