Karely is a professional research assistant at the Center for Health, Work & Environment. She currently supports the research conducted in Guatemala investigating chronic kidney disease among sugarcane workers. Prior to joining CHWE, she worked for the CU Pre-Health Scholars Program (CUPS) where she served as a teacher assistant working with first-generation, underrepresented, and low-income students to expose them to high-impact events, research, STEAM, and Healthcare careers. She is also actively involved in immigrant rights and justice. In her free time she likes to hike and paint.
