Our center and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), hosted the fourth international Understanding Small Enterprise (USE) Conference in Denver, Colorado on October 25–27, 2017. Small business owners, researchers, students, and health and safety professionals from around the world came together at USE 2017 to understand the unique needs of small businesses and share strategies for creating healthy work environments.

NIOSH, in partnership with our center, hosted the Expanding Research Partnerships: State of the Science Conference on June 21–23, 2017. The conference goals were to enhance and expand intramural and extramural partnership in occupational safety and health research and launch the third decade of the National Occupational Research Agenda (NORA).

Improving Worker Safety and Health Among American Indians and Alaska Natives: Partnership Workshop


This workshop was held on August 17–18, 2015 and on July 30–31, 2019 on the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. This workshop brought together members of tribes across the U.S., representatives from NIOSH, and academics to discuss how to improve worker health and safety in tribal communities.

National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements (NCRP) Annual Meeting


The NCRP supports radiation protection by providing independent scientific analysis, information, and recommendations that represent the consensus of leading scientists.  Each year, the NCRP convenes a meeting of experts to share knowledge and research. We have partnered with the NCRP to record these educational sessions. Watch and listen to presentations from past meetings.

The American Academy of Health Physics hosted a special session at the 2018 Health Physics Society Meeting. The session, “Health Effects of Low Dose Radiation and the Role of Radiation Protection Professionals,” covered some of the latest science and information about the health effects of low dose radiation.
