Dean Cathy J. Bradley is the current dean of the Colorado School of Public Health, serving in the role since 2023. An internationally recognized health economist with expertise in health insurance, access and disparities, Dr. Bradley began her career at Michigan State University.
Following eight years at Michigan State, she was the founding chair of the Department of Healthcare Policy and Research and associate director of cancer prevention and control at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. Dr. Bradley joined the Colorado School of Public Health in 2015 as professor and Paul A. Bunn, Jr. Endowed Chair in Cancer Research. She served as the associate dean for research from 2018-2023, nearly doubling the school’s funding from the National Institutes of Health during this time. She continues to serve as deputy director of the CU Cancer Center. In her role as dean, she is focused on modernizing the curriculum of the school to produce the next generation of public health leaders, continuing to bolster the research of our faculty and its impact, and strengthening the school’s ties with the communities it serves. She has directly contributed to these goals by establishing the Cathy J. Bradley, PhD, Public Health Scholarship Fund to support students enrolled at the school.
