Luis Lopez is a PhD student in Climate and Human Health at the Colorado School of Public Health and a professional research assistant level 2 within the Centers for Health, Work and Environment. His background is in Taste and Odor analysis of drinking water and is interested in water quality. He attended UCLA where he got his BA and MPH and developed an interest in the fields of Nutrition, Water Quality, and Social Justice. His goals post PhD are becoming a registered dietitian and a university professor, teaching Water Quality, Nutrition, and their intersections with social injustices seen worldwide. He also desires to start a program at a university level that assists first-to-go students from marginalized upbringings in finding scholarships, future careers, and leadership positions to diversify the field of academia.
