Laura Kaizer MPH

Research Instructor

Laura is a biostatistician and senior professional research assistant in the Department of Biostatistics & Informatics and the Center for Innovative Design &  Analysis (CIDA) at the Colorado School of Public Health.

Laura is skilled in complex data management—including managing large administrative health record databases, processing claims data, and developing algorithms to process wearable device data—as well as statistical methods including regression, mixed models, two part models for cost, propensity score analysis, and more. She is a data hawk who knows how to clean, format, and analyze data to answer research questions. Her research interests include social determinants of health and health disparities among minority groups.

Laura received her MPH in Applied Biostatistics from the Colorado School of Public Health. Her capstone project focused on examining the interactions between genotype and mineral metabolites in the blood as predictors of time to event outcomes, including end-stage renal disease and death.

When she is not at work she is teaching her colleagues to rock climb and ski.
