Lauren Gunn-Sandell obtained her MPH in Epidemiology at the Colorado School of Public Health. She is passionate about biostatistics and epidemiology for the study of infectious and chronic illnesses. Within her current role, she supports grant development and research conducted at CU Anschutz and with external partners as a biostatistician and data manager. Prior to her role within CIDA, she worked at the Colorado Integrated Food Safety Center of Excellence (CoE) where she contributed to research related to local routine enteric disease surveillance, national foodborne disease surveillance, and collaboration with the other CoE locations. Previously, she worked in industry as a Director of Labs within the food and beverage sector. Her work focused on quality control and quality assurance within the beverage industry.
