The Alaska Satellite Center is housed in the Research Department at Southcentral Foundation in Anchorage, AK. Southcentral Foundation is a nonprofit health care organization established in 1982 to improve the health and social conditions of Alaska Natives and American Indians and has over 55,000 active users. Its Research Department pursues research consistent with and informed by the SCF health care mission.

The Pacific Northwest Satellite Center is housed at Washington State University in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Cole Allick is a Research Assistant Professor in the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine and IREACH (Institute for Research and Education to Advance Community Health). He currently leads the Recruitment and Engagement Core of the National Institute on Aging-funded Natives Engaged in Alzheimer’s Research (NEAR) Center.

The Southwest Satellite Center is housed in the Center for American Indian Health at the University of New Mexico. The Center specializes in workforce development, community engaged research, community health assessment, capacity building, program planning, and project management.

The Central Plains Satellite Center is housed at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dr. Jones has expertise in translation research addressing cardiometabolic disparities in American Indian and Alaska Native populations and collaborates extensively with researchers at the University of Oklahoma’s Harold Hamm Diabetes Center, a world leader in research related to the prevention and treatment of diabetes in a broad range of communities.

The Southeast Satellite Center is housed in Western Carolina University’s College of Health and Human Sciences. Western Carolina University is a public university and is one of the 16 campuses of the University of North Carolina system. Dr. Goins is currently working closely with the Eastern Band Cherokee Indians and other state-recognized tribes throughout the southeastern U.S. and publishes extensively regarding diabetes management among older American Indians, the co-morbidities that complicate their care, and risk of mortality.

The Northcentral Satellite Center is housed in University of North Dakota. Dr. Collette Adamsen serves as an associate director for the Center for Rural Health at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences and is the director of the National Resource Center on Native American Aging.
