Community Organizing for Prevention (2021 - 2026)

Evaluation Team

About

The Injury & Violence Prevention Center is contracted by the Violence and Injury Prevention - Mental Health Promotion Branch at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to conduct the statewide evaluation of the Community Organizing for Prevention (COFP) program.

COFP is a statewide initiative that implements primary prevention strategies to reduce substance misuse and violence among youth. COFP builds on the Communities That Care (CTC) model.

The evaluation aims to understand how COFP is being implemented and how risk factors, protective factors, and long-term outcomes are changing in COFP-funded communities across Colorado.
