The Injury and Violence Prevention Center (IVPC) at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (CU Anschutz) was formally established in 2021 with the vision of contributing to the significant reduction in injury and its outcomes in Colorado, the Mountain West region, and the U.S., as a function of high-quality research, education, and effective practice.
The IVPC builds off the work of the Program for Injury Prevention, Education & Research (PIPER), founded in 2011. IVPC is a collaborative initiative of the Colorado School of Public Health and the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
