In his role as collaboration and partnerships coordinator at the Injury and Violence Prevention Center, Matt Wetenkamp provides assistance in establishing and growing partnerships and collaborative efforts with members of the Colorado firearm community aimed at reducing firearm injury of all kinds. Matt comes to the Colorado School of Public Health from the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment’s Office of Suicide Prevention, where he served as the Veteran Suicide Prevention Coordinator. During his time at the Office of Suicide Prevention, Matt was responsible for leading initiatives focused on Veterans, Firearm Suicide Prevention, and Men’s Mental Health.
