Research Assistant Professor

Dr. Leslie Barnard’s (she/her) work focuses on understanding the risk and protective factors that contribute to and prevent firearm-related harms. Her research centers on understanding the evidence-based policies and programs that reduce firearm injuries with a focus on firearm suicide. Leslie’s work as an affiliate of the Firearm Injury Prevention Initiative helps to empower communities to create safer environments and promote public health.
