Kaitlyn Friedman is a Research Services Senior Professional and the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus working on a number of projects aimed at preventing firearm injury and death. She also serves as a Program Implementation Specialist for the CDC Foundation's Overdose Data to Action program. Previously, Ms. Friedman was a Associate Program Officer and Research Associate at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine and a clinical research coordinator for Duke University, exploring the associations between violence-related injuries and alcohol use as well as managing the implementation of a feasibility trial of a brief intervention for harmful and hazardous alcohol use in Moshi, Tanzania. She also interned with the World Health Organization in 2018, contributing to technical reports on drug-impaired driving and road traffic injuries and volunteered for the COVID-19 Task Force on Domestic Violence and National Alliance on Mental Illness HelpLine. Ms. Friedman received her Master of Science in Global Health from Duke University in 2019 and her Bachelor of Arts in Medicine, Health, and Society, from Vanderbilt University in 2017.
