About membership
Center membership is open to anyone who is interested in injury and violence prevention (i.e. researchers, practitioners, students, public health professionals, etc.). Injury and Violence Prevention (IVP) includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Opioid overdose and misuse
Sexual violence
Youth violence
Intimate partner violence
Concussion and TBIs
Motor vehicle crashes and transportation injuries
Suicide
Older adult falls
Child maltreatment
Firearm safety
Network - you will be a part of an IVP network primarily working in the Mountain West Region, where you can discover potential collaborators.
Center Updates - you will receive event announcements and quarterly newsletters.
Invitations - you will receive invitations to all center events.
Letters of Support - the center will be able to provide letters of support for grants or projects (if appropriate).
Promotion of your work - you will have the opportunity share your work through our newsletters, webinars, and social media.
Professional Recognition - you can list the IVPC membership on your CV, resume, or bio sketch.
Access to - you will have access to trainings, seminars, educational opportunities, and funding opportunities.
Student Linkage - the center can support student placements in your organization or institution.
Regularly update the IVPC on your projects and achievements.
