I’ve been working at the Center for Global Health since spring of 2022. I am the Logistics Coordinator for the Virtual Biorepository System (VBS) project and assist on other projects as needed, including other aspects of the CONTAGIO project and the current CDC-funded air quality in school study. Additionally, I’m working on two studies pertaining to arbovirus outbreaks in Latin America, both of which have been completed with manuscripts in the works.

1) One of these studies used an existing dataset of clinical information, laboratory test results, and antibody test results (from the previous IDAMS project) to generate predictive models of the individual pathologies seen in two time points of acute-stage arboviral infection, as a potential tool to improve differential diagnosis of dengue, Zika, and chikungunya viruses in low-resource settings with limited access to more accurate diagnostic me

2) The other study is a small meta-analysis of several qualitative studies on the prevalence and characterization of birth outcomes in woman infected with Zika virus during pregnancy. The data from this study were collected during the 2015-2016 Latin America Zika virus outbreak and can potentially be used to improve the understanding of the true effects of Zika virus infection during pregnancy on the offspring, as this has been generally understudied.

Outside of the CGH, I love rock climbing (I have been climbing competitively for nearly 20 years), spending time in the mountains (skiing, snowboarding, fishing, kayaking, and swimming, depending on the season), traveling, and cooking.
