Dr. Wilson, a physician whose career spans countries and cultures, served as director of the Center for Global Health from 2004 through 2010. The model and leadership of Calvin L Wilson, MD, has inspired this scholarship so that students from the University of Colorado and international students have an opportunity to engage in a culturally diverse clinical and/or research experience during their graduate training. Philosophically, this scholarship is grounded in a deep commitment to the long-lasting, positive value of international health care as it relates to broadening personal and academic perspectives.
