The Native Children's Research Exchange (NCRE) was formed to build a network of scholars studying child and adolescent development in the context of American Indian, Alaska Native, and Canadian First Nations communities. The purpose of NCRE is to promote the exchange of information and to establish collaborative relationships within this network.

Membership in NCRE is open to researchers, tribal community partners, and students conducting research on issues relevant to the lives and development of Native youth.
