Sara Mumby, MA, MPH, is a Research Scientist and the Media and Dissemination Specialist at the Centers for American Indian and Alaska Native Health. Her role is to effectively communicate and disseminate the Centers' research findings, innovations, and scientific knowledge and discoveries to various audiences, which requires a unique blend of scientific expertise, communication skills, and strategic thinking to bridge the gap between research and community stakeholders.
Sara has over 10 years of experience in public health communications, working on staff publications, training curricula, and dissemination materials. She received a Masters of Arts degree in English studies from the University of Colorado Denver in 2018, where she studied rhetoric, literature, and applied linguistics as well as taught Core Composition to undergraduates. Sara received a Master of Public Health degree at the Colorado School of Public Health with a focus in community and behavioral health in 2024.
