Dr. Domek completed her undergraduate education in biological chemistry at the University of Utah. She received a Master of Philosophy degree in medical anthropology at Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar. She then attended Harvard Medical School and completed a pediatric residency and a global heath fellowship at the University of Colorado. She is a general pediatrician and the director of the International Adoption Clinic at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Her current research focuses on early childhood development in at risk populations and resource limited settings. She has designed and implemented a community health program promoting early childhood health and development in southwest Guatemala and rural China. She has also developed a primary care-based intervention to promote infant language acquisition in underserved children in the U.S.
