Workplace Wellness

The purpose of our Workplace Wellness Program is to develop staff worksite healthy eating and physical activity programs in order to improve behavior and health outcomes. Our Workplace Wellness program focuses on 4 key areas: Health Education, Physical Activity, Healthful Eating, and Site Environment.

Our Workplace Wellness programming includes: staff walking club, education campaigns, workplace table messaging, fruit & veggie challenges, “Toss it Together” lunch parties, monthly goal challenges, and monthly incentive giveaways.

”I’ve seen a huge improvement from last year to this year . . . we’re doing the walking clubs and if they’re [teachers] up and moving with the kids and getting them dancing their getting steps. So I think just showing them the positives that are in for them too. I’ve seen a lot of improvement.”

“The water bottles was part of Culture of Wellness and trying to teach the kids to drink more water and we as a staff were pop drinkers and so we tried to drink more water as well. We’re trying to set that example for the kids.”
