In his role as center manager, Michael works closely with the center’s leadership in the development of center infrastructure, with oversight of certain center operations. He develops and manages center and project budgets, as well as provides grant support, including the processing of grant applications, progress and final reports, carry over requests and other documentation required by funding organizations. In this position, Michael coordinates and communicates with the university and school staff, central departments, human resources, the Office of Grants and Contracts, and finance and procurement to ensure policy and procedures are followed. Additionally, he trains and communicates about these systems to support center staff and their work.

Previously, Michael served in the CU School of Dental Medicine, Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) as the program administrator. Michael managed, coordinated, and monitored operations and provided administrative oversight of the OMFS Division. Working directly with and in support of the chair of the division, he dealt with general, indirect patient care operations and management of OMFS services.
