Dr. May received her medical degree from Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine and her Master of Public Health degree from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. She completed her pediatric residency at Connecticut Children's Medical Center followed by a pediatric global health service delivery fellowship in partnership with Harvard Medical School, Boston Children's Hospital, and Partners in Health. Dr. May currently serves as the associate director of the global health track at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and the director of the Children’s Hospital of Colorado Pediatric Residency Global Health Pathway. Dr. May has worked in nine resource limited nations, with ongoing educational work, and research, in Rwanda, through the University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) and Partners in Health. Dr. May's global health scholarly interests include global medical education, mentorship, and pediatric health care capacity building through health system strengthening.
