We're building state and local public health capacity to track and investigate foodborne and enteric diseases through training, resources, consultation, and practice-based projects.
The Colorado Integrated Food Safety Center of Excellence (Colorado CoE) is one of five Integrated Food Safety Centers of Excellence designated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Our Center is a collaboration between the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and the Colorado School of Public Health.
We train the current and future workforce and provide resources and consultation to local and state health departments to improve foodborne and enteric disease surveillance and outbreak response. We conduct practice-based projects to better understand foodborne diseases and inform model practices.
Integrated Food Safety Centers of Excellence (CoE) build capacity in health departments by developing and providing online and in-person resources, training, and assistance for enteric disease surveillance and outbreak investigations.
Check out additional trainings and resources from CoEs across the country.
