This R25 is a free NIH sponsored technology training for cancer clinicians: social workers, RNs. APPs, psychologists, psychiatrists, and oncologists. The essence of the training includes getting hands-on experience using digital apps, common wearable devices, and other tools to extend their clinical interventions with patients. This training also addresses the top concerns of cancer patients, which include fatigue, insomnia, anxiety, depression, and pain.
The Chat 4 Health project is using artificial intelligence text messaging technology to improve the American Heart Association's Life's Essential 8 Health Behaviors. As a UH3 trial, participants receive text messages focused on heart health.
The objective of this project is to discern the potential for using interactive health information technology integrated into primary care workflows to improve screening for and management of diabetes distress.
Together with Hopi Community members, we will develop a mental health app that fits with Hopi culture and values. The app will support connections, positive coping, and Hopi ways. The investigators team will design, pilot, and evaluate the app, provide family well-being workshops, develop a peer support program, create a mental health resource data-base, and offer workshops to teach youth about app design.
