Abigail Harris has been an integral part of CEPEG for over 15 years, serving in multiple roles that reflect her expertise and commitment to public health. She began her tenure as an Evaluator and Program Manager, leading initiatives for statewide programs including the Cancer, Chronic and Pulmonary Disease and Health Disparities Funded Grants Program, the State Tobacco Education and Prevention Program, and managing the Survey Research Operations Unit.

In her current role as Assistant Director, Abigail provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for CEPEG. She works closely with contractors and stakeholders, fosters collaboration with internal and external partners, and ensures sound financial management across CEPEG operations.

Abigail’s professional background spans cancer programs, cancer research, and health promotion. She has extensive experience in health care delivery systems, practice management, and quality improvement. She earned her Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and her Bachelor of Arts from Southern Illinois University.

Outside of her professional work, Abigail is passionate about fitness and wellness. She teaches aquatic fitness classes for participants of all ages and abilities, with a special focus on individuals managing chronic conditions, obesity, or beginning their fitness journey. Her tailored programs aim to improve health, quality of life, and overall fitness.
