Nicole Zwick is a Senior Evaluator for the Community Epidemiology and Program Evaluation Group (CEPEG) at the University of Colorado Cancer Center, where she supports the State of Colorado's chronic disease and tobacco control initiatives, specifically targeting populations of focus. Her notable projects include a nutrigenetic analysis on a large Type I Diabetes cohort study, developing a Kenyan-based cervical cancer screening program, and running an NIH-funded study on neurological development in neonates. She holds a Master's in Bioanalytical Chemistry from Arizona State University and a Master's in Global Health Epidemiology from the Colorado School of Public Health, and she is currently a doctoral student in the Community Behavioral Health Program at CU Anschutz. Currently, Nicole is exploring trauma and interpersonal violence (IPV) among youth and adults from marginalized groups, focusing on their mental health and behaviors. She is engaged in a mixed-method study with Dr. Tuitt, Ariel Alexander, and the Y2YE team, examining the impact of multiracial identity on risk behaviors and mental health outcomes, which informs culturally relevant interventions for diverse adolescents. Aspiring to be an effective public health leader, Nicole aims to guide teams in addressing public health needs through strong equity practices and the integration of qualitative and quantitative methods. In her leisure time, Nicole enjoys climbing, mountain biking, traveling, and relaxing with her family.
