At the LEAD Center, we're studying diabetes and obesity risk across the entire lifecourse, from fetal development to old age.
The Lifecourse Epidemiology of Adiposity & Diabetes (LEAD) Center is a research and training center at the Colorado School of Public Health. Our mission is to conduct research into the lifecourse health consequences of exposures that increase the risk, and accelerate the onset of, adiposity (obesity) and diabetes. Our focus is on prevention and training the next generation of researchers and clinicians. The LEAD Center was established in 2015 on the University of Colorado (CU) Anschutz Medical Campus, through a joint collaboration among the Colorado School of Public Health, the CU School of Medicine and its Department of Pediatrics, and Children’sāā Hospital Colorado.
