Project Proposal Guidelines

The guidelines below are intended for investigators who are interested in collaborating with the LEAD Center on a research project, which will require LEAD Center study data, biospecimens and/or analysis assistance. The guidelines pertain to the following studies:

Healthy Start and Exploring Perinatal Outcomes among Children (EPOCH)

STEP 1R​​eview LEAD Center Publications to confirm proposal idea has​​ not been addressed previously.
STEP 2

Discuss proposal with LEAD Center subject area expert(s).

STEP 3
Download and complete LEAD Center Analysis Plan for your proposal.
STEP 4
Submit your completed analysis plan to the Proposal Review Committee.
STEP 5
Once the analysis plan is approved, the data team will provide the requested dataset, biospecimens, and/or statistical analysis support. ​To request data and/or biospecimens, please complete this short form. Instructions to complete the form are here: LEAD Center Data Request Process. For a statistical analysis consult, please contact Brandy Ringham. Please allow at least 6 weeks for the data team to provide requested items or support.
STEP 6
(Optional​ but strongly recommended) Share ​main findings with LEAD Center investigators. One potential avenue for this is to present at a LEAD Scientific Meeting. Please contact Kate Sauder if​ you would like to present.

 

Note: Multicenter studies housed in LEAD have separate proposal processes set in place by their respective steering committees. Please click on the study name for more information about the study or contact the study coordinator by clicking on the contact name.
