Jaron Arbet PhD

Center for Innovative Design & Analysis (ColoradoSPH), CU School of Medicine, CU College of Nursing
  • Department of Biostatistics & Informatics

As a research associate in the Center for Innovative Design & Analysis at the Colorado School of Public Health, Dr. Arbet builds a strong foundation of knowledge when working with a collaborator. He is thoughtful in his research and partnerships and he will work to uncover every stone. His research interests are in methods for analyzing ‘omics and other "Big Data", machine learning, variable selection, Bayesian statistics, and longitudinal data analysis.

Dr. Arbet is skilled in many statistical methods including regression, machine learning/predictive modeling, variable selection, longitudinal data analysis, clustering, Bayesian statistics, survival analysis, mediation, and imputation for missing data.

Currently, he provides statistical consulting for the University of Colorado College of Nursing and School of Medicine Department of Endocrinology, and supports grant development for other researchers around campus. Dr. Arbet teaches an annual 6-week short course on Data Science and Machine Learning in Biomedical Research, and he is also the instructor for BIOS 6601 Applied Biostatistics I, an intro stats class for MPH students.
