We know your lives have been changed by the pandemic which has resulted in increased medical and care-giving needs and stress, increased workloads, and canceled vacation plans.
Many employees have not taken time off over the last year, which is necessary downtime for overall health and wellbeing. This is a reminder to take care of yourselves and please take vacation time.
Please be aware that all faculty and staff at CU fall under a leave policy that caps vacation hours at 44 days (or 352 hours). This means that anyone having more than 352 hours as of July 1, 2021, will have any excess leave above 352 hours swept, that is removed. Please be prepared to use this time before July 1, or you will lose it; it cannot be carried forward. If anyone has any questions about this policy, please contact HR Director Kevin Young.
To check your leave balance, please go to the UCDAccess employee portal, go to the "CU Resources" area, click on the drop down menu and select “My Info and Pay,” and select “Leave balances” tile.
Donating time: Employees can donate vacation leave to an employee within the school who is experiencing a qualifying medical leave of absence. If you know anyone who wishes to donate time, please have them contact Kevin Young.
