“We need to be looking at what's happening every single day in urban communities and across the country, in terms of suicide, if we really wanna look at where the bulk of gun deaths are,” said Emmy Betz, professor of epidemiology and deputy director of the Injury and Violence Prevention Center.

Also, they can be stored voluntarily at firearm retailers, ranges and law enforcement agencies.
"The connection between the lethality of firearms and the risk of suicide death is not something that's been talked about enough," reflects Emmy Betz, professor and deputy director of the Injury and Violence Prevention Center.
