Dr. Harrison is an obstetrician/gynecologist who sub-specializes in global maternal and child health and family planning. She is interested in improving access to safe contraceptive, abortion, and labor and delivery care so women in low- and middle-income countries can prevent, limit, space, terminate, or survive, pregnancy. Her research goals are focused on implementing public health programs that will improve the quality and delivery of facility- and home-based labor and delivery, abortion, and contraceptive care in a way that empowers women to separate their own life goals from their fertility-based goals, should they differ.
